Where are you located and where will our session be?
I’m rooted in Fort Worth, Texas, but I serve all of DFW and surrounding areas. I’ll confirm your session location one week before your shoot. If you have a specific spot in mind, we can go there, or I can recommend several hidden gems and favorite locations that are picture-perfect! My go-to spots are linked here. We’ll brainstorm together to achieve the look you’re going for and find a spot that’s just right for you.
What time will our session be?
My schedule follows the sun’s lead. The best time for stunning photos is 90 minutes before sunset, so I plan sessions during golden hour. If you’re an early riser and prefer a sunrise session, I’m game for that too!
Do you require a deposit to book?
Yes! A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your session or wedding date. This deposit goes toward your total session fee. Your date isn’t officially booked until the deposit is received.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, I offer flexible payment plans to make things easier for you! Let me know if you’d like to set one up, and we’ll work out a plan that fits your needs.
What happens if it rains the day of our session?
If the weather is uncooperative, don’t worry—we’ll coordinate to reschedule your session. I’d never penalize you for something out of your control. Overcast skies? No problem, I can still shoot! But if you’d rather wait for sunshine, that’s totally okay too.
What can I expect at our session?
Aside from themed mini sessions and cake smashes, I keep props minimal. My goal is to focus on you and your loved ones. I might bring a crate for kids to sit on and a quilt for family portraits. I’m all about capturing natural interactions, genuine smiles, and loads of laughter. We’ll start with some posed portraits to warm up and then ease into more candid, lifestyle images that reflect your family’s unique vibe.
Can I bring my pet to the session?
To respect all of my clients—especially those with allergies or kiddos who might be afraid of animals—I do not allow pets during my Mini Sessions (no matter how hypoallergenic your pup might be). However, if you’d like to include your four-legged family member in a Portrait Session, let’s chat beforehand! Some locations are pet-friendly, while others may not be, and I’ll help ensure we choose the perfect spot for everyone.
How do I book a Mini Session?
I only offered themed Mini Sessions - and they are on a set schedule. I open bookings at 9am on the sign-up date. I open sign-ups to my mailing list AND Facebook VIP group FIRST. (these are open to everyone, so please add yourself!) Some of my mini's (like Santa) go really, really fast - so set your alarms if there is one that you really want! How many images will I receive?
The number of images you receive depends on the Portrait Package you choose:
Themed Mini Sessions + Petite Sessions: These include 5 hand-edited images as part of your package. However, you’ll typically see a gallery with at least 40+ images to choose from.
The Portrait Session: Includes 15 hand-edited images, with a gallery of 100+ images to select from.
The Everything Session: Includes all hand-edited images—typically 100+ in your gallery.
For Proposals, Micro Matrimonies, and Weddings, you will receive all hand-edited images from your event. The total number depends on the number of hours booked, but as a rule of thumb, you can expect a minimum of 50+ images per hour of coverage. (But trust me, if things are happening, I’m photographing—I won’t limit myself to just 50!)
Every gallery is thoughtfully curated to ensure your memories are captured beautifully and fully.
Do you edit all the images in the gallery?
For Mini, Petite, and Portrait Packages where you’re limited to a set number of images, you will be presented with a proofing gallery about one week after our session. These images are completely unedited—just culled for duplicates, closed eyes, out-of-focus shots, etc. Once you’ve made your selections, I’ll get to work editing them to the polished, professional standard you see on my website.
For packages that include all hand-edited images:
Yes! Every image in your gallery is professionally edited to match my signature style, ensuring your photos are polished and cohesive. If I feel an image looks great in black and white, I won’t make that decision for you—you’ll see it in your gallery in both color and black and white.
The only exception is if there’s an issue with lighting, and black and white is the best and most beautiful way to deliver the image.
What’s in your camera bag?
I always carry three camera bodies: Canon R6 Mark II, Canon Mark IV, and Canon 6D. My go-to lenses include the 70-200ii, 100mm, 85L, 50L, 35ART, and 15mm—each bringing something unique to your gallery. I also pack an Expodisc, reflector, three speedlites, extra batteries, memory cards, and a trusty step stool to capture every angle!
Do you offer prints or albums?
Absolutely! I work with professional print labs to provide stunning prints, canvases, and heirloom-quality albums. You can order directly through your online gallery, or I’m happy to assist with custom designs.
Do you travel for sessions or weddings?
Yes! I’m always up for an adventure. Travel fees apply for locations outside the DFW area, so let’s chat if you’re planning a destination session or wedding.
When will I receive my images?
Mini, Petite, and Portrait Packages: For sessions with a set number of images, you’ll receive a proofing gallery about one week after our session. Once you’ve made your selections, it takes me 2–3 weeks to fully edit and deliver your final gallery.
The Everything Session: Your gallery will be delivered 4 weeks after our session date.
Proposals: Turnaround time is 3 business days.
Micro Matrimony Ceremonies: Turnaround time is 6 weeks.
Weddings: Turnaround time is 10–12 weeks.

What if I need my images sooner than your quoted turnaround time?

What happens if I didn’t download my images in time?
If your gallery expired and you need it resent, no worries! You can pay the $25 retrieval fee here. After sending payment, email me with your order number, and I’ll have the gallery re-sent within 24 hours. (For galleries older than six months, email me first to confirm availability.)
Do you carry insurance?
Absolutely! If you or your venue need proof, just holler, and I’ll send it over.
